Mandatory Volunteer Trainings provided by the County Booster Club

    Hey everyone,

County Trainings for Specialized volunteer training will be held on Sat. Oct. 20th and Sat. Oct. 27th.  We highly recommend parents of freshmen or sophomores attend these trainings as well as any experienced parents.  The more people who are trained, the more coverage we will have for these positions at our meets.

You only need to attend ONE of the training session, unless you want to be trained as both a Deck Worker (Meet Directors, Scoring Table Volunteers, or Setup/Breakdown Volunteers) as well as a Meet Computer Operator (scoring table workers that will be responsible for operation of the meet computer before, during, and after the meet).  These 2 trainings are available at the same location on the same day if you want to stay for both.

Take a look at the trainings below and let me know 1) what training you are interested in 2) which date/location you are planning to attend.  We must have at least 4 team members trained.

    Deck Worker Training

Covers the setup, operation, and breakdown of timing and scoring equipment.

Who should attend: Both experienced and novice Meet Directors, Scoring Table Volunteers, or Setup/Breakdown Volunteers

Volunteers will be split into two groups, with a training focus on EITHER deck setup/breakdown, OR scoring table setup/breakdown. If a volunteer needs training on both roles, they will need to attend both sessions.

Meet Directors supervise meet operations, and therefore need to be familiar with both roles. It is recommended that Meet Directors are already experienced in at least one of these roles, or attend both sessions in order to get training in both areas.

This session will NOT cover Meet Manager software operation, other than setup- and breakdown-related tasks.

Attend one of two sessions: volunteers MUST attend either 10/21 or 10/28) ***at least 2 parents
