Clody Swim Meet Information

This week our team will be going in several different directions but the bulk of our swimmers will be competing in the Clody Swim Invitational at West Gwinnett this Saturday. The meet is longer than our regular season meets and will begin at 9am and finish up around 2:30. The bus should be back at the school by 3:00.  Please have your swimmers eat a good breakfast, pack some snacks and bring money for food at the meet. Also, please remind them to stay hydrated throughout the day.

ENTRIES - The Clody Meet entries and Psych Sheet are listed on the team website under "Clody Swim".

BUSES - All athletes will ride the bus to and from school. Please arrive at NGHS at 7:20 am. The buses (there will be 2 buses) are scheduled to leave promptly at 7:30....We need to leave on time. Our warm up time is from 8:05-8:25 in lanes 5-8.

SPECTATORS - Spectators CANNOT enter the building until 8 AM. No folding chairs are allowed inside the pool, and parking will be available at Berkley Lake Elem School and Pickneyville Middle School. There will be admissions charged for spectators of this meet. The admissions fee is $5 for adults and $3 for school-aged children. Heat sheets will be $2.

VOLUNTEERS - Attached is a list of our volunteers for Saturday. I also plan to send a separate email to all scheduled volunteers.  All volunteers will need badges in order to be on deck during the meet. All 1st Shift volunteers should pick up your badges from Daphne Anderson, our worker coordinator, in the lobby. In addition to your badges, which you must have to get on deck, she will have the stop watches for the timers. She will collect watches and return the envelope with the badges at the end of the session.

    • Admission volunteers need to arrive by 7:40 AM
    • All other volunteers should report for duty at 8:15 AM.

2nd Shift volunteers will need to get the badge from the 1st Shift Worker assigned to your lane or job.  There will be 3 breaks during Clody.  The officials will determine the breaks, but we know for sure that there will be a break after the 50 Free.  This would be a logical time to trade out shifts.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

T-SHIRTS - If you pre-purchased a Clody T-shirt, we will be picking those up from the County Booster Club at the meet and you can find Cris Koenigs for your shirt.  There will be limited quantities of additional shirts available at the meet....not from Cris, but from the County Booster Club. If you didn't order in advance and now think you want a shirt, plan to purchase it when you arrive Saturday morning.

Good luck to all the Swim & Dive Dawgs wherever they are competing this weekend! Finish Strong!
